By applying this modification you extend the life of your ECU. Mounting an ECU heat shield ensures that your ECU remains 25 degrees on average cooler than driving without a heat shield. At idle or slow driving, this temperature difference can become even more because during this situation there is no cold air supplied to the ECU.
All these problems occure because the ECUs are mounted in the wrong position. The heat destroys the ECUs and the following error codes can pop up: P0201, P0202, P0203, P0204, P0606, P0601, P0245 and P0246.
